Ken Cheda, Western Region Account Executive


 

Randy Watson - COO

Mr. Watson brings over 20 years of operations leadership experience in the
cable, satellite and high-speed internet industries to the Ygnition team.
Prior to joining Ygnition in 2005 Mr. Watson served as the Managing Director
for HomeSmart from Xcel Energy, an unregulated, subscriber based service of
Xcel Energy, one of the nations largest utility companies. Mr. Watson began
his career in the communications industry in 1980 as Director of Programming
for Time Warner Cable in San Diego. After holding positions with Time Warner
Cable as a General Manager, Regional Director and Regional Vice President he
left Time Warner to become Regional Vice President for Primestar, where he
was accountable for managing the operations of the countries 2nd largest
provider of satellite television to more than 750,000 customers in the
eastern half of the U.S. After Primestar was acquired by DirecTV in 1999 Mr.
Watson joined DirecTV as Vice President DirecTV Home Services, where he was
charged with leading national field operations for the countries largest
provider of satellite television.

Mr. Watson earned a bachelor of arts degree, magna cum laude, in
Communications from the University of California, San Diego

 

Kevin Coyle - CEO

Mr. Coyle joined Ygnition in November 2004. Prior to joining Ygnition, Mr. Coyle was Chief Executive Officer of Digital Media from 2001 through 2003. Before that, Mr. Coyle was Chief Financial Officer of One Secure from 2000 until 2001. From 1981 until 1999, Mr. Coyle worked for Jones Intercable, first as Vice President of the brokerage group, then from 1986 as Vice President and Treasurer and finally as Chief Financial Officer from 1991 until Comcast Corporation acquired Jones Intercable in 1999. Mr. Coyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University and a Masters of Business Administration from Drexel University.

 

Ron Sullivan - CFO

Mr. Sullivan has over 15 years experience in all aspects of finance, financial analysis, project management, and accounting. He has a proven track record of helping organizations improve performance, profitability and growth. Prior to Ygnition, Mr. Sullivan served as CFO of Prodata Systems, an information technology and service company. As CFO, Mr. Sullivan was responsible for all financial initiatives, including strategic planning, lender and vendor relationships, and accounting and reporting systems. In addition, Mr. Sullivan oversaw the organization's Private Placement Memorandum, and was a key member of the development team for the company's flagship product.

Prior to joining Prodata, Mr. Sullivan operated his own consulting practice, providing strategic planning, operational analysis, and practical advice to businesses in all stages of their organization lifecycle.

Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Idaho, is in process of completing his MBA, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

Greg Roberts - SVP Operations

Mr. Roberts has over 12 years experience working with technology-based companies. Mr. Roberts began his career in 1990 when he joined Advanced Telecom Management (ATM). ATM was one of the leaders in providing local and long distance services to MDU's, also known as Shared Tenant Services. While at ATM, Mr. Roberts served as CTO until its purchase in 1994. It was at ATM that Mr. Roberts was fortunate to meet Glenn Meyer, CEO Ygnition. The two have enjoyed a professional relationship ever since.

After ATM, Mr. Roberts served as a consultant to several start-ups in Shared Tenant Services and Operations Manager for two other start-ups, Tri-Star Communications and Apartment & Commercial Technologies (ACT). Darwin Networks acquired ACT in 1999. Darwin Networks was a start-up that provided Broadband Services to MDU's and Commercial Buildings. Mr. Roberts served as the Director of Operations - Western Region for Darwin.

Prior to joining ATM Mr. Roberts served 6 years in the Army as a junior NCO.

 

Nikos Mouat- SVP Engineering & Network Operations

Possessing deep experience in network engineering, security and software development, Nikos Mouat is well known in the industry for his technical expertise and his ability to provide the highest levels of customer service. His distinguished career includes tenures at such distinguished companies as: Bell Northern Research programming Northern Telecom's DMS series of telephone switches; Interconnected Associates (IXA), as Chief Technical Officer, which grew to become the preferred Internet Backbone company for many of the northwest's web-centric startups such as Amazon, Infospace, Photodisc, and Pointshare; Conjungi Networks, a leading Northwest security consulting firm where he provided firewall, VPN, and advanced networking services to some of the Northwest's leading technology companies; Darwin Networks, a broadband service provider; and his own consulting practice which includes such high profile firms as Infospace.com, iShip.com, Edgar Online, Belo and Vulcan Northwest. Most recently he was engaged as CTO of Crossport Systems, a broadband firewall and services company which was merged into Lineo. At Crossport, Mr. Mouat provided the technology foundation of their product line.

In addition, Mr. Mouat co-founded and remains a Board member to the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) through which much of the regional Internet traffic moves. Nikos Mouat was named to the 2000 "Top 40 under 40" list published by the Seattle Business Journal. He studied computer science and engineering at the University of Waterloo in southern Ontario, Canada.

 

Steve Carlson - SVP Business Development

Steve Carlson joined Ygnition, a provider of high-speed Internet access to the multifamily industry in September of 2001 when Ygnition purchased the assets of VelocityHSI. Since April 1, 2000 he had served as President and CEO of VelocityHSI, also a provider of high speed Internet access for the multifamily industry. During his tenure at VelocityHSI, the company had the highest per property subscriber penetrations in the industry. The sale of Velocity's assets to Interquest was accompanied by a transfer of all of Velocity's active subscribers and properties on a going concern basis, the only such transaction in the Broadband space.

For the preceding 19 years Carlson, an attorney, was President and Founder of Steve Carlson and Associates, which provided legislative advocacy and government relations services to clients in Sacramento, the state capitol. During that time Carlson was the executive director of the California Housing Council (CHC). CHC is a trade organization representing the largest owners, managers and developers of multifamily properties in California. In his 19 years as director of CHC, Carlson developed an in-depth knowledge of the multifamily industry and its customers. He is one of the best-known and most respected advocates for the multifamily industry in the nation. Earlier in his career he practiced law with the San Diego firm of Gray, Cary, Ames and Frye, now Gray, Cary, Ware and Freidenrich. He also served as the Assistant to the Commissioner of the American Basketball Association and as an executive with the ABA 's San Diego Conquistadors.

Carlson earned a juris doctor degree magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.

 

Dave Zilch - SVP Business Development

Dave brings over 18 years of Commercial Real Estate and Telecommunications experience to the Ygnition team. Prior to joining Ygnition Dave worked with major wireless and telecom carriers in the telecommunications tower industry. Dave was the General Manager for Darwin Networks Commercial division in the Midwestern United States and prior to that position served as Regional Sales Manager for the MDU division of Darwin in the Midwest. Under Dave’s management the Commercial division of Darwin achieved double digit monthly sales growth and increased the commercial broadband customer base three-fold.

Prior to joining Darwin Dave was in the Commercial Real Estate Finance industry, providing long-term investment financing for Multifamily and Commercial properties throughout the US with ARCs Commercial Mortgage Company. Dave is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

 

Brian Moorhead - VP Marketing

Brian Moorhead brings over 16 years of sales, business development &
marketing leadership to the Ygnition team. The large majority of those years
have been spent within the multi-family real estate industry with a focus on
video, voice and data services. Prior to joining Ygnition in 2004, Brian
worked in various capacities for several leading private cable operators
serving the multifamily industry.

Brian was the Manager of Property Owner Relations & Business Development for
TVMAX, a private cable operator serving the multifamily industry. Prior to
TVMAX, he served as a Marketing Director for OpTel and its largest system in
Houston, TX where he was accountable for all aspects of consumer marketing
and managing the growth of customers and revenue. Brian began his career in
the multi-family industry in 1995 as Regional Account Manager for GE
Capital-Rescom in Los Angeles. He later accepted the role of National
Portfolio Manager where he was tasked with the daily management of over
130,000 apartment units for the company's largest customer, Insignia
Financial.

Brian is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond,
Louisiana.

Sales Team

Ken Cheda

Ken Cheda contributes over 24 years of sales, management, and marketing experience to the Ygnition Corporate Sales Team. Prior to joining Ygnition, Mr. Cheda was a Sales Consultant and Varsity Club, Million Dollar writer for Bruner's Home Furnishings Corporation, the largest furniture retailer on the west coast.

Prior to that, Mr. Cheda served as VP Corporate Sales and Marketing for The Best Present Company, Inc. selling and promoting a pre-paid MasterCard® Product. Mr. Cheda was instrumental in the company growth, landing them on the Top 10 list in the number 3 spot for providers of pre-paid MasterCard gift cards.

Prior to working at The Best Present Company, Mr. Cheda spent 15 years running the family businesses in Antioch and San Ramon, California.
